Hi guys! Use this thread to make suggestions or anything regarding a potential creative server coming in the future. There is no ETA right now on it, so for now, I would like to see any and all suggestions regarding such a server and what you would like to see.

I have a follow up question, actually. Freebuild -- as it was -- wasn't sustainable. It required a massive amount of staffing to combat griefers, and that isn't something we can provide -- it burned out the creative staff who stuck with it, and wasted a lot of time.

If we implemented a freebuild world that was a certain rank+ (a rank earned by either being online the server for a set amount of hours, or earning a building rank, so that not great builders wouldn't be discriminated against), what would you think? Then impulsive griefers couldn't go around messing stuff up, those who liked freebuild would have access to it (after lurking plots for a while), and we'd be able to keep freebuild a thing.

I mention this because I know that freebuild was an important thing to a lot of Creative players, but if it's brought back it will have to be with adjustments.

Whatcha mean what one would it be? The ranks who would have access to the world are those who had either played on the server for [however many] hours, or ones who had achieved a builders rank. They would both work. Again -- this is isn't set in stone, I'm just plotting ways to let freebuild be a thing.

This would probably be the best way around grief, kind of like architect world was. I also liked the size of the plots on Creative v2 because it made it easier to build big builds in a set amount of space.
I feel a range of perks for each rank would be a good idea too because there weren't a lot of perks for ranks such as designer. It would be great to see the server back up :)

I feel like freebuild was indeed the main draw of the server so if you want it to be a succes making that work properly would probably be your best bet. I'd personally prefer mozingo's second suggestion; making access to freebuild a perk for a certain building rank. That will prevent like 90% of grief (remember how the previous archworlds were rarely griefed?). I really hope you can pull this off, I miss that good old creative server :) ~Ruben

I also think that having a freebuild for known dedicated players is a good idea, like the old architect worlds. Plots for newly-joined players is probably the easiest way to combat griefing.
